KVK Namsai Enlightened the Farmers under Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan
In continuation of Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan (KKA) phase II, A day long training cum input distribution programme was organized at Adi Ningroo village on 13th Oct 2018 by ICAR – KVK Namsai. The programme was chaired by Dr. T. Raghav, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai accompanied with DHO, ADF Namsai, Circle Officer Piyong circle and ADO Namsai. Altogether, 82 farmers were successfully imparted on bee-keeping, mushroom cultivation and kitchen garden and other Agri & allied important aspects. Chief Guest Dr. Raghav encouraged farmers to come forward and adopt the specialized agriculture to enhance the farm income, she also assured to the farmers for all possible support for upliftment of society by administration. Sh. S. Bhide, Namsai also explained the role of horticulture crop to boot the income of rural family. Role of integrated fish farming to double the farmer’s income was explained by Sh. SK Jawal, ADF, Namsai. KVK Scientists also answered the question related Artificial Insemination, Compost making, beekeeping, Kitchen Garden, Mushroom and Cultivation practices of Rabi seasoned crop. Department of Agriculture, Namsai has also been distributed the quality Mustard seeds of NRCHB101 variety to the selected 20 beneficiaries.
